Quickstart: set up your clinic

1. Configure your clinic

Open Settings → Clinic Profile. Enter your clinic name, address, and contact information. This appears on bills and exported documents.

2. Register your first patient

Go to Patients → New Patient. Fill in:

  • Full name
  • Date of birth
  • Contact phone number
  • Medical history notes (allergies, conditions, medications)

Click Save. The patient now appears in your patient list.

3. Schedule an appointment

Go to Appointments → New Appointment. Select the patient, choose a date and time, and add a reason (e.g., "Checkup", "Filling", "Crown prep"). The appointment appears on the calendar.

4. Start a visit

When the patient arrives, find their appointment on today's queue. Click "Mark Arrived" → "Start Visit". A new visit record opens.

5. Write a treatment record

In the visit record:

  1. Note the chief complaint
  2. Document examination findings
  3. Use the FDI tooth chart to mark conditions per tooth
  4. Write the diagnosis and treatment performed
  5. Save as Draft, then Confirm when complete

6. Generate a bill

Go to Billing → New Bill. Add line items (treatment codes, descriptions, amounts). Present to the patient. Record the payment method and amount received.

7. Back up your data

Go to Settings → Backup → Create Backup. Save the zip file to an external drive or USB. Do this weekly.
