Practice Rack Plug in. Tune up. Practice.

Connect your guitar, run it through a desktop effects rack with tuner, noise gate, compressor, EQ, overdrive, chorus, delay, and reverb. Loop, record, and save presets — all offline.

Practice rack workbench
Guitar effects without DAW ceremony

A desktop practice rig that gets you playing before the setup steals the session.

Practice Rack puts guitar effects, tuner, looper, recorder, presets, input monitoring, cabinet IR loading, and practice sync into a focused local desktop workflow for daily guitar and bass practice.

01

Plug in and hear the instrument

  • Connect through an audio interface, monitor the input, and shape a usable practice tone without opening a DAW session.
  • The rack is intentionally focused: tuner, effects, looper, recorder, presets, and meters instead of a huge production environment.
  • Local desktop operation keeps practice files, presets, loops, and recordings on the machine where you play.
02

The effects chain covers daily work

  • Noise gate, compressor, 3-band EQ, overdrive, chorus, delay, and reverb cover the common guitar effects needed for timing, tone, and feel.
  • Toggle effects, adjust parameters, save presets, and build repeatable sounds for clean warmups, rhythm work, lead practice, and bass routines.
  • Professional adds cabinet IR loading, advanced effect parameters, and BPM/position playback sync for a more serious practice rack.
03

Looper, tuner, and recorder stay in reach

  • The chromatic tuner shows note, cents, and frequency so setup stays fast before effects hide pitch problems.
  • Record and overdub loops, play against the phrase, clear it, and build the next repetition without switching apps.
  • Capture practice takes to WAV so you can hear timing, bends, muting, and tone decisions after the run.
04

$19 lifetime for a focused rig

  • Community includes tuner, basic effects chain, looper, and recorder for the core practice loop.
  • Professional is a one-time $19 lifetime license for the paid rack depth, cabinet IR workflow, advanced controls, and sync features.
  • Buy it when you want a reliable practice surface, not another subscription, amp-library maze, or full recording project.

Before using Practice Rack

Is Practice Rack a DAW or full amp simulator?

No. Practice Rack is a focused desktop practice rig: tuner, effects chain, looper, recorder, and presets for daily playing.

What do I need to plug in a guitar or bass?

Use a normal audio interface or input device supported by your operating system. The app is designed around local input monitoring and offline processing.

Can I practice in real time?

That is the goal of the desktop workflow. Actual latency depends on the audio interface, driver, buffer size, and operating system audio stack.

Does it require a subscription?

No. Practice Rack follows the Hannes Software desktop model: local app, website checkout, app activation with email and license key, and no subscription.
