Dental Ark Changelog
This is the changelog for Dental Ark. Our development philosophy is simple: we ship desktop software that solves a specific problem reliably.
We release new features when the industry outgrows the current workflow. We ship fixes when we break something. We adapt when the underlying platform changes, such as a new network stack, OS security policy, or protocol specification. This page documents those improvements, fixes, and adaptations.
We try to avoid pushing updates just to bump the version number. If the build you are using is stable and the changelog does not mention a fix or feature you care about, it is safe to skip the release.
The entries here prioritize changes that affect real use: installers, license activation, import and export behavior, offline work, report handoff, data-format compatibility, performance, and error handling.
If you are deciding whether to upgrade, start with the items that match your workflow and then install the newer build when the fix or feature matters. - Microsoft Store builds show the native purchase offer only when StoreContext returns the configured durable add-on with the matching Store ID and a non-empty localized price; unavailable or mismatched listings stay hidden.
- Purchase revalidates that exact live offer before opening native checkout, while Microsoft Store ownership refresh and other channel-specific entitlement behavior remain unchanged.
- The same installed build can discover the unlock after the add-on is published; real-account purchase acceptance remains pending until both listings are public.

- Acceptance opens the front desk, selects a new patient, enters the patient name, creates a direct walk-in visit, and relaunches the application.
- Community Edition language no longer describes the product as a trial, and retained evidence reads back the exact patient and visit after restart; clinical, billing, and scheduling behavior is unchanged.

- Direct installer builds keep website checkout, license-key import, and online activation; Store builds hide web checkout and use native purchase and account restore.
- A native Store purchase offer is exposed only when its add-on is explicitly marked as published; unpublished add-ons remain restorable for existing owners but cannot start a new purchase.
- After a successful native purchase, the desktop runtime refreshes the Store entitlement and returns the updated license state. This code path has not yet completed real-account Store transaction acceptance.

- Added a unified appointment composer for new bookings and rescheduling, including patient, clinician, chair, service, date, and time context plus non-blocking conflict previews backed by authoritative local backend validation.
- Appointment procedure items now carry into check-in as proposed visit items, preserving source identity through the visit and billing workflow.
- Refined responsive patient, schedule, finance, and data-safety workbenches; a fresh workspace no longer surfaces a false backup emergency.

Dental Ark gives a single dental clinic one local system for patients, appointments, visits, FDI tooth charting, treatment records, billing, images, follow-ups, PDF export, and manual backups. No internet required. The Community edition is free. Optional paid editions add advanced workflows; see the product page for current access details.
Use this page to decide whether a release changes the exact workflow you rely on. Installer fixes, activation fixes, export behavior, local file compatibility, and evidence/report output matter more than a version number by itself.

- Dental records with FDI tooth chartingDocument every visit with tooth-level detail. Mark conditions per tooth, attach intraoral images, write treatment notes, and track history across visits. Records can be drafted, confirmed, and amended with audit trails.
