Quick Start

Installation

Download Tab & Score Assistant from the product download page for your platform. Install the desktop package and launch it from the system application menu. Keep a copy of your source audio files outside the app so you can rerun transcription experiments when needed.

First launch

Open the settings panel and confirm the product and license state. The community workflow supports detection preview and tab/sheet viewing. The professional or bundle workflow unlocks MIDI export, MusicXML export, PDF export, quantization, note editing, and app activation with the checkout email and license key.

Core operations

  1. Import a local audio file.
  2. Choose a detection pass: melody, chords, bass, drums, or the combination needed for the song.
  3. Review the generated guitar tab, bass tab, drum notation, or score view.
  4. Review wrong notes, rhythm, and positions by ear; use Professional editing tools when you need to correct them in the app.
  5. Quantize with a Professional license only after the musical timing is close enough.
  6. Switch instrument views to check whether the draft makes sense.
  7. Export MIDI, MusicXML, or PDF when the edited draft is ready.

Common questions

Will the generated tab be perfect?

No. Treat the result as an editable first draft. Real recordings contain bends, slides, bleed, reverb, timing drift, and overlapping instruments.

Should I edit before exporting?

Yes. Review the transcription, fix the musical decisions, then export. The product is designed to speed up editing, not replace the musician's ear.

Which file should I try first?

Start with a short, clean recording that has one clear lead part. Dense mixes are useful later, but clean examples make the workflow easier to learn.
